From The Impermissicon, a compendium containing blood magic, lycanthropy, twisted curses, vampires, dark gods, fallen heroes, a large array of new forbidden spells, and even new prestige classes, here is a new high-level sickness spell, also known as a Master Pathomancy.
Vertigo is a potent debuff spell that can serve both offensive and defensive purposes by afflicting the target's sense of balance (like real vertigo does). It does so without relying on conditions like frightened, grappled, restrained, or poisoned, meaning even deadly foes like a Pit Fiend or a Planetar can be sent spinning through the air if vertigo manages to take hold of them.
This spell is a Pathomancy spell, which means it appears on the spell list for the Pathomancer spellcaster specialization feat that will be appearing in both The Impermissicon and The Elements and Beyond, unlike the other specialization feats such as Geomancer or Hydromancer which will be only appearing in The Elements and Beyond. These specialization feats provide bonuses for spells from their spell list and have special abilities that activate when you cast them. Pathomancy specializes in a sort of 5th element, the element of the body and soul. Pathomancy spells either affect the emotions of a living creature (as in pathos), or they afflict its body with pathologies. Other notable examples from the spell list include vicious mockery, bane, blindness/deafness, fear, contagion, or the new overwhelm emotions spell (and including some blood magic spells too).
